The David Deans Skincare story started in 2008, when, after 30 years of running day spas, salons and working on every skin type imaginable, Margaret Deans decided it was time to produce a natural and premium skin care range that worked in the harsh Australian environment.
I wanted to create the finest range of skin care products in Australia that were actually designed to combat our uniquely harsh Australian climate conditions, she recounts.
So, Margaret joined forces with her parents, David and Grace Deans to make her dream a reality.
David, a Pharmacist with a strong compounding pharmaceutical background, and Grace Deans a Lab Technician with a lifetime of experience working in the medical space and beauty industry turned out to be the perfect partnership. Margaret's daughters Louise and Alishja also joined the David Deans Skincare team, with multiple degrees in Biotechnology and Medical Sciences, they brought fresh thinking and new ideas to a vision that was about to set another benchmark in natural skincare.
What do they love most about having David Deans Skincare in existence? We love seeing people's skin transformations and knowing that our products are the reason they feel better about their appearance and themselves, she states. I love posting our orders and hand writing little thank you notes to our customers. I love that people get excited and tell me it's like opening presents when they receive our deliveries.
As for PackQueen's role in their daily operations, she has this to say, We literally searched, ordered and tested so many boxes that would both fit out products - that are a variety of heights and widths - so they were displayed beautifully upon opening, and the other key factor was that that the box would fit into a 1kg Express Post Satchels . We finally found the A5 postage boxes from PackQueen and they fit our products perfectly. I'm sure you think it wouldn't be that difficult, but not all A5 boxes are created equally dimensions-wise, but the PackQueen ones are a perfect fit for us. We also order the larger Postal Box Medium Brown boxes for 3kg which fit our Mother's Day, Father's Day and Christmas Promotional boxes and larger orders within these boxes.
