Customer Spotlight: How Little Stitch Academy Uses Custom Packaging to Elevate Their Brand - PackQueen

Meet: Little Stitch Academy

Little Stitch Academy is inspiring a new generation of young makers through hands-on sewing classes that build creativity, confidence, and independence. Based in Preston, the sewing school teaches children how to use sewing machines while encouraging sustainable practices like upcycling and giving new life to textiles. With more than one hundred children now attending classes each week, the academy has grown into a thriving creative community that continues to deliver a personal and supportive experience for every student.

About the Business

Founded with a passion for empowering children through creativity, Little Stitch Academy focuses on helping kids discover what they’re capable of through sewing. Watching students transform from feeling unsure to proudly creating something with their own hands has been one of the most rewarding parts of the journey. Alongside providing high-quality classes, the business has also built a strong and polished brand experience through thoughtfully designed products and professional packaging, helping their in-house designed sewing posters feel even more special for customers receiving them.

Packaging Used

Little Stitch Academy uses PackQueen’s Long Tube Mailing Boxes to safely package and deliver their exclusive in-house designed sewing posters to customers. The sturdy mailing tubes help protect the posters during transit while also creating a polished and professional unboxing experience for customers receiving their orders.

Why They Chose These Products

The Long Tube Mailing Boxes were chosen for their durability, presentation, and ability to reflect the creativity and quality behind the Little Stitch Academy brand. By combining practical protection with premium packaging, the products ensure every poster arrives in perfect condition while reinforcing the thoughtful and creative identity the business is known for.

Q&A With Little Stitch Academy

What does your business sell?

I recently opened Little Stitch Academy, a sewing school for children based in Preston. We teach kids how to sew using sewing machines, with a strong focus on creativity, independence, and giving new life to textiles through upcycling.

What do you love most about your business?

What I love most is seeing children realise what they’re capable of. Sewing builds so much confidence, and it’s amazing to watch them go from “I can’t do this” to proudly creating something with their own hands.

What challenges has your business faced?

One of the biggest challenges has been managing growth while keeping the experience personal and high quality since we now have over one hundred kids coming through our studio each week. As the business grows, I’ve had to build systems and train staff carefully to make sure every child still gets that same level of support and encouragement.

How has PackQueen helped your business?

Your packaging has been a really important part of presenting my products professionally. It helps elevate the brand and creates a more polished and thoughtful experience for customers receiving their sewing posters designed in house.
