Buying guide

Tips from packaging experts.

Practical advice for framers and galleries.

Paper before bubble

Wrap the frame in kraft paper first so bubble wrap doesn't mark the finish.

Tape an X on large glass

A cross of low-tack tape on large glazing helps hold pieces together if the glass cracks.

Sandwich with sheets

Place cardboard sheets on both faces of the frame before boxing.

Never stack face down

Store and transport framed work upright, never flat with weight on the glass.
