I have fond memories of my grandparents who ran an antique shop. They spent hours helping customers with unique antiques from all over the world. I remember watching my grandma use an old cash register. She wrapped customers' purchases in pretty paper. My grandpa worked hard to restore old treasures. Seeing them in action sparked my own desire to start a business one day.
Even though I was dedicated to my full-time job, I knew deep down that I wanted more. So, I took a leap of faith and decided to start my own business. I began by creating invitations and small gift boxes, which I loved doing. As I connected with customers and saw businesses struggling with packaging, I realized I could help. That's how my brand, PackQueen, was born.
I was determined to make quality products in Australia and wanted to be upfront and honest about our pricing. We decided to make our prices transparent online, which was a first in our industry. As our business grew, we expanded our range and started offering custom printing and other personalized options.
Looking back on my journey since starting PackQueen in 2017, I'm proud of how far we've come. While there have been challenges, my goal of making packaging accessible to businesses of all sizes remains strong. That's why I started this blog – to share my experiences and help fellow entrepreneurs thrive and succeed.
